Who this review is for

Finance managers and controllers who keep one or more imprest floats and need an independent look before internal audit, franchise inspection, or year-end. Typical clients include multi-outlet retail, F&B groups, clinics, and site-based contractors in Hong Kong.

Result you receive

A clear exception schedule listing missing vouchers, unauthorised disbursements, float shortages or overages, and stale reimbursements — plus a short narrative of how the float is run day to day. You keep the working papers for your own follow-up; we do not replace your internal audit function.

Scope included

  • Opening briefing with the float custodian and a finance contact

Scope excluded

  • Full statutory audit or statutory financial statement opinions
  • Investigation of suspected fraud beyond documenting cash and voucher findings (we can refer you to forensic specialists)
  • Redesign of your entire cash policy handbook (available as a separate advisory hour block)
  • Counting floats at locations outside Hong Kong without prior written agreement

Provider and process

Reviews are led by Aidatasolutions practitioners experienced in petty cash and imprest controls. Fieldwork usually follows this sequence: intake call → document request list → on-site count and voucher walk → draft exceptions → final schedule.

Duration and delivery

Most single-float reviews take a half day on site when the float is under HKD 10,000 and vouchers are filed. Larger multi-till locations or messy voucher bags may need a full day. Document-only preparatory work can be done at Grand Century Place Tower 1 by appointment.

Preparation

Please have the authorised float amount, the last replenishment claim, the voucher file for the period under review, and access to the safe or till. The custodian should be available for the count; dual custody is preferred when your policy requires it.

Pricing basis

From HKD 4,800 for a single float under HKD 10,000 with orderly records. Multi-outlet packages and higher-volume floats are quoted after a short intake. Rates are informational — confirm the fee in writing before fieldwork.
